The internet and java are two worlds that are interlinked and have built upon each other. It was because of the internet that java has been pushed to the forefront of programming because the internet uses javascript in much of its codes. Java is basically the language of programming, when you turn on your computer and access the internet, all the pages you are viewing and the files you are downloading are written in a code, most of this code is java and it helps animation or layout or links work the way that they work. Java is written in two ways, dynamic data and passive data. Passive data are the things online that you see, but don’t interact with, for example a layout, an animation or even a download, these are things you take as they are and nothing you do changes the inherent information they contain. Dynamic data on the other hand are things like applications, these are intelligent programs that are self executing. Let’s go back and look at Java when it was still a fledgling program. Once upon a time it was called OAK, and it was originally designed to handle set up boxes and devices, however as new features were added onto it eventually it got re-named Java. Java is special in the sense that it is incredibly compatible to the internet because of a number of reasons. First up is its cross platform compatibility , the java source files after it is compiled generate a bytecode which is then translated into a machine code and all system have unique java machines that translate these codes to its programs. On top of that Java also supports many internet protocols like FTP or HTTP, IP etc. Java also greatly supports HTML which is a code that is frequently used on the internet as language between programs.
